This post will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation with regards to business operations, finance, marketing and communications, administration, HR and personnel. The post will work alongside the Executive Director in driving forward the mission and vision of Wild things! as a leading organisation in the field of environmental education, conservation and health and wellbeing in the outdoors as determined by the Board of Directors. ILM Highland - Care and Repair Officer
Salary £28 -30K (plus contributory pension scheme)Based in Alness ILM Highland is a social enterprise with charitable status that has been delivering Care and Repair services across Sutherland and Ross and Cromarty for 23 years. We are looking for someone with strong experience within the building/ house maintenance sector who can work closely with small contractors to complete building works up to £30K as well as disabled adaptations, all to a high standard. Having the ability to work with vulnerable elderly people and those with a disability with sensitivity and empathy is essential. ILM Highland - New Board Members
An important aspect of ILM Highland is the Board which is presently composed of people from the Public, Private and Social Enterprise sectors. Over the coming year, a number of board members will be coming to the end of their term on the board and we are looking to attract new blood which will take the company forward. This is an exciting period for ILM Highland. With a new Chief Executive recently appointed, along with a clear strategy for the next three years, ILM can build on the services is presently delivers, making a bigger difference and contribution to the Highlands.
If you are interested in making a difference we would like to hear from you. Positions on the board receive no remuneration although expenses are paid. The time commitment depends on how much you may wish to commit, with the minimum of four board meetings a year. While we would welcome interest from anyone who feels they can make a contribution, we are looking in particular for people with experience in; the care sector; marketing and IT; finance, the social enterprise sector; and commercial trading.
